We are an agro-industry that produces, processes and sells products composed of cotton
(plume, meal 28% and 38% protein, linter, oil, fibril, husk and briquette) and soy (bran 46%
and 48% protein, degummed oil) and also renewable energies such as photovoltaics and
biodiesel.
We are heirs to a family tradition that began in the 1940s, with cotton farming activities
started by Octaviano Heráclio Duarte. His biography is recorded in the book Octaviano
Heráclio Duarte - Memories of a remarkable Pernambuco - produced and released in 2021.
Our values underlie the work to which we dedicate our lives. Our efforts are motivated by the
desire to daily improve both the quality of the products and services we offer and the
empathetic way in which we relate to employees, suppliers, customers and society in
general.
We began our activities in the early 1990s, in Limoeiro, in the countryside of Pernambuco, after deciding to continue the work started by Octaviano Heráclio Duarte.
We aim to meet the expectations of our customers and partners with the quality of our products and the
seriousness of our work, without neglecting our social and environmental commitments, nor the health and
well-being of our team. We cultivate empathetic, transparent and cooperative relationships with
everyone.
These are criteria that underlie all our initiatives, as we know that, without them, the achievement of
our objectives and the materialization of our values would be uncertain.
In pursuit of excellence in our activities and relationships, in addition to prioritizing investments in
research and innovations, and seeking the highest quality raw materials to work with, we remain
attentive to the needs and promote the talents of our team members.
DUAL is an acronym for Duarte Albuquerque, which is our family's last name. The orange
tone of our name represents the color of the oils derived from the industrial processes with
which we work, and the leaf in two shades of green represents the agricultural production of
the most diverse types of crops.
We, therefore, feel that our brand transmits the symbols, meanings and traditions of our
family, preserved, with dignity and pride, in this image.

There are around five hundred people directly involved in DUAL’s activities. In this network of
relationships, each function is essential for the smooth running of our work. We know that, if everyone
feels welcomed, integrated, productive and fulfilled as members of the company, we will guarantee the
efficiency and excellence of our activities, the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our
customers.
